The Penny Stacker is paid by providers in our network — contractors, lenders, insurers, and warranty companies — when we successfully match a homeowner with them. Providers do not pay us to display preferential rankings. We do not adjust our editorial content or recommendations based on payment.
All offers, rates, pricing, terms, and product features come directly from third-party providers. We do not control or guarantee them. Each provider is responsible for its own:
Mortgage, refinance, HELOC, and cash-out refi providers in our network are licensed under applicable state and federal law (including the SAFE Act, NMLS registration, and state-by-state mortgage broker/banker licensing). Insurance providers are licensed in the states where they sell. Home warranty companies are regulated under each state's service-contract or warranty laws, which vary.
Mortgage and refinance providers in our network comply with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Fair Housing Act. Decisions about loan eligibility, rates, and terms are made by the providers, not by The Penny Stacker.
Home improvement contractors in our network hold the licenses required in their state and locality (where applicable). State licensing requirements vary — some states do not require general contractor licensing for residential work below certain dollar thresholds. We make reasonable efforts to verify licensing, but homeowners should always verify a specific contractor's license before signing a contract.
